day 93 of 365
This is a view of the far eastern tip of Sandy Neck barrier beach and lighthouse, from afar and a little closer up -- click on the photos for the larger view. They recently put the top back on the lighthouse, which had been decommissioned since the mid-20th century, when shifting sands changed the landscape, and the lighthouse was no longer at the tip of the beach. There's a summer community out there, and there's great walking along the marshes, beach, and dunes. You can see a few more Sandy Neck photos here.

Love the landscape a lot. Which I could visit one day.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to see the first photo totally focused (front to far end). I'm not sure, but I think it would have made the photo much better.
I was there just last week! I absolutely love walking around there.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd photo almost looks like a painting. Beautiful!
