This 365 day project features photos that include words (actual or implied),
text, books,
writing, letters and numbers, signs, libraries, and.... well, you get the idea.

day 102 of 365

Peace and love to all. (Click the photo for a closer look.)

I just finished up my 3rd assignment for the C&C photography workshop. Come on over to my other blog and get a little green.

day 101 of 365

This just in: authorities have discovered the whereabouts of the notorious Luv Czar.

4.08.2010

day 100 of 365

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and it's a beautiful Cape Cod morning. And it's day 100 of my photo journey!

Many thanks to all you followers out there and the work you're doing on your blogs -- I love that I've gotten a peek into your lives and seen your amazing images. Give yourselves a gold star. Or better yet, give yourselves one of these glorious stars....magnolia, that is.

Now, on to the next 100 days.

4.06.2010

day 99 of 365

I was just reading a great post on the Beyond Megapixels website about things we photographers do that annoy our friends and loved ones. Case in point: I take my camera to the dump (AKA transfer station). Luckily, I go by myself, so I only annoy the bemused and patient staff who steer clear while I snap away.

BTW: I covet this old washing machine. I don't know why, and I don't know where I'd put it, but it calls out to me every time I toss my metal in the metal recycling pile.

4.05.2010

day 98 of 365

The past month has been too over-scheduled for my liking -- I've been feeling like I'm always two steps behind, and my lists of things to do have been getting longer rather than shorter. Time to slow the wheels and clear the schedule. Vacation is right around the corner, and I'm going to savor every minute of it.

day 97 of 365

Nick has a new job working for a landscaping company. He works from 7 AM to sometimes 7 PM, plus is taking classes at the community college, plus is still working at Wicked on the weekends. The joy of being 18! About all I see of him is a pile of dirty clothes in front of the washing machine.

day 96 of 365

The sign in the window says "for lease." To me the painted bench gives the impression that there's artistic potential in this building. Maybe a wall mural?

4.03.2010

day 95 of 365

Gray skies over Barnstable Harbor, with a loving request not to litter.

I'm over here today, working on my C&C Photography assignment. Come visit!

4.02.2010

day 94 of 365

This just struck me funny. I'm trying to picture what might be on the agenda. So many possibilities.

This is a view of the far eastern tip of Sandy Neck barrier beach and lighthouse, from afar and a little closer up -- click on the photos for the larger view. They recently put the top back on the lighthouse, which had been decommissioned since the mid-20th century, when shifting sands changed the landscape, and the lighthouse was no longer at the tip of the beach. There's a summer community out there, and there's great walking along the marshes, beach, and dunes. You can see a few more Sandy Neck photos here.
